A founder and operator with a background in sales, telecommunications, digital services and audience-building.
A connected career
I grew up in Christchurch and have worked in Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington. Hospitality taught me preparation and service. Events and broadcasting taught me how to find an audience. Sales and call centres taught me how to turn individual ability into a repeatable process.
At 0199, those experiences came together in a directory-assistance business. Customer demand then took me further into websites, email, hosting and digital marketing.
How I work
I am interested in the gap between what a customer needs and how a business actually delivers it. That means looking at the offer, the sales conversation, the underlying systems and the work needed to keep a service running.
I now use AI-assisted development alongside that commercial experience to build and improve digital products. My role in infrastructure development is to bring the commercial proposition and the relevant technical expertise together.
Today
My current work is based in Christchurch through America First Limited: developing GRID EATER and progressing the CDIP data-centre project.
Outside work
Music has been part of my life since childhood: choir, drums, DJing, production and the New Zealand electronic-music scene. I performed as DJ Ruckus and worked across events, radio and television.
